Join us for our week-long, residential writing workshops in fiction, nonfiction, and poetry with acclaimed faculty in beautiful Gambier, Ohio. Unlike other writing workshops, the Kenyon Review Writing Workshops are generative, focused on giving writers time and space to produce new work. For over twenty-five years, the Kenyon Review Writers Workshops have provided thousands of writers with a nurturing space to take creative risks and push their writing to the next level. The low student-teacher ratio and supportive, rigorous, and immersive writing community have proved so popular that many students return again and again.
Workshops are held for three hours each morning. In the afternoons, participants are free to spend their time writing, reading, and reflecting, or exploring the beautiful campus of Kenyon College. Each evening, there are public readings by faculty, fellows, and workshop participants. And participants benefit from individual meetings with instructors to discuss workshop prompts and other writing projects.
Kenyon College is home of the Kenyon Review. During the workshop week, participants experience all Kenyon has to offer: writing in stately classrooms, reading in the new Chalmers Library, eating in Peirce Dining Hall, working out in the Lowry Athletic Center, exploring the Gund Gallery and Brown Family Environmental Center, and relaxing in the charming Village of Gambier.
