Solving the Mystery of Crime-Fiction Writing with Thurber House

Mystery writer Andrew Welsh-Huggins will break down the ins and outs of mystery fiction.

Andrew will discuss the multitude of genres—how is “cozy” different from “traditional”?—and along the way will provide practical advice for conceiving, writing, editing, submitting, and publishing crime-related short stories and novels.

Andrew Welsh-Huggins is the Shamus, Derringer, and International Thriller Writers-award-nominated author of the Andy Hayes Private Eye series and editor of Columbus Noir. Kirkus calls his new crime novel, The End of The Road, “A crackerjack crime yarn chockablock with miscreants and a supersonic pace.” Andrew’s short fiction has appeared in multiple magazines and anthologies, including Ellery Queen Mystery MagazineAlfred Hitchcock Magazine, and The Best Mystery Stories of the Year 2021.
