READING: Joseph Hess, Darren Demaree, Steve Abbott

DescriptionJoin us for a special reading event as we welcome Joseph Hess, Darren Demaree, and Steve Abbott to the Unicorn Stage on the occasion of the release of Hess’s new book, Into the Ancient.
DarrenC. Demaree is the author of twenty-one poetry collections, most recently “indefense of the goat as it continues to wander towards the certain doom of thecliff”, (April Gloaming, February 2024).  He is the recipient of a GreaterColumbus Arts Council Grant, an Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence Award, theLouise Bogan Award from Trio House Press, and the Nancy Dew Taylor Award fromEmrys Journal.  He is the Editor-in-Chief of the Best of the NetAnthology and the Managing Editor of Ovenbird Poetry.  He is currentlyworking in the Columbus Metropolitan Library system.

Joseph M. Hess lives in Columbus, Ohio and receivedhis MA in Poetry from Miami University and his MFA from Ashland. You can findhis work in The Ekphrastic Review, Into the Void, Belt Magazine’s ColumbusAnthology, Shabda Press’s Anthology Nuclear Impact: Broken Atoms in OurHands, and the Ohio Poetry Association’s Ekphrastic Anthology ARustling and Waking Within.
