Join us for a special Arbor Book Celebration with Joan Maloof, Ph.D., author and powerful spokesperson for our nation’s forests. We will celebrate Maloof’s April 4th book release, Nature’s Temples: A Natural History of Old-Growth Forests and learn more from her about the Old-Growth Forest Network, an organization she founded that is creating a network of protected forests across the US. Maloof will be joined in conversation by Bexley Mayor Ben Kessler and Bexley City Council President Troy Markham as they discuss the extent and condition of our nation’s forests as well as the relevance of encouraging preservation.
Joan Maloof is the author of four books in addition to Nature’s Temples: Treepedia; The Living Forest; Among the Ancients; and Teaching the Trees.
This special evening is presented in partnership with the Bexley Arbor Day Celebration Committee and generously funded by the Paige and Michael Crane Fund of Bexley Public Library. Special thanks to Gramercy Books for their partnership and for making Dr. Maloof’s books available for sale.
