Dive into the creative and exciting world of graphic novels!
In this workshop, you’ll learn manga and traditional comic techniques, from basic character design and development to narrative tricks and panel structure. You’ll leave with drafts of storylines and characters that you can continue to develop on your own, as well as a stronger sense of inking, composition, and other illustration techniques. If you have dreams of creating your own comic or self-publishing, we’ll also talk about tips for how to start that journey.
About the Instructor: Carl Lucas is a cartoonist and graphic artist residing in Columbus Ohio, with years of experience teaching comic related workshops to help students write, draw and develop their own characters.
